DESCRIPTION:The workshop aims at bringing together researchers\, both theo
reticians and experimentalists\, who are interested in searching for alter
natives to the standard thermal WIMP paradigm. We intent to discuss multic
omponent DM\, self-interacting and strongly interacting DM\, feebly intera
cting DM (super-WIMPs)\, super-cold DM (axions and other ultra light scala
rs) or macroscopic size dark matter\, just to name a few examples.\nThe me

DESCRIPTION:The project Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) is part of a Eu
ropean plan to build new generation of large research facilities selected
by the European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures. The main goal
of ELI is to create the largest laser equipment in the world. There will
be accomplished and implemented research projects covering the interaction
of light with matter at intensities being 10 times larger than the curren
tly achievable values. ELI will provide ultra-short laser pulses of a few
femtoseconds duration (10-100 fs) and power up to 10 PW. ELI will bring ne
 w techniques for: medical image-display and diagnostics\, radiotherapy\, t
ools for developing and testing new materials\, X-ray optics. ELI also bec
omes an attractive platform for educating a new generation of PhD students
 \, scientists and engineers.\n\nhttp://indico.fuw.edu.pl/conferenceDisplay

DESCRIPTION:New website: https://indico2.fuw.edu.pl/event/16/\nThe confere
nce "Scalars 2025" will be held in Warsaw in September 2025. The meeting i
s organized jointly by the Faculty of Physics  of the Univeristy of Warsa
w and the  Division for Physics of Fundamental Interactions of the Poli
sh Physical Society. The meeting will take place at the Faculty of Physic
s (OCHOTA Campus).\nThe meeting will start with the registration on Septe
mber 22nd  (Monday) in the morning.  The conference "Scalars 2025" is th
 e 7th edition of  "Scalars" organized in Warsaw in 2011\, 2013\, 2015\,
2017\, 2019 and 2023. The goal of the meeting is to provide an opportunity
to discuss various aspects of physics of scalar particles. In particular
we plan to cover the following issues:\n Scalars in cosmology: dark matte
 r\, baryogenesis\, phase transitions\, inflatons\, axions\, relaxions\, ra
 dions\, etc.\,\n	\n SM Higgs boson: theory and experiment\,\n	\n Extensi
ons of the minimal scalar sector of the Standard Model\, e.g. multi Higgs-
 dublet models\, doublet-singlet models\, the Georgi-Machacek model\, ...\,
\n	\n Experimental constraints on possible scalar sectors\,\n	\n Future
 experimental searches for scalars\, e.g. at LHC\, FCC or ILC.\n	\n Effect
ive field theory in Higgs physics\,\n	\n Scale-invariant scalar sectors\,
\n	\n Composite Higgs bosons\,\n	\n Elementary scalars within extra dime
nsions: gauge-Higgs unification\, stabilization of extra  dimensions\, ra
