DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ms. HAGER\, Maya (Max-Planck Institut fuer Kernphysi
k)\nComposite Higgs theories often suffer from predicting light top partne
rs\, which are excluded by collider experiments. In the recently proposed
SU(6) Gauge-Higgs Grand Unified Theory by Angelescu et al.\, where the Hig
gs boson emerges as a pseudo-Nambu Goldstone boson of the coset SU(6)/SU(5
)\, the embedding of the elementary Standard-Model fermions naturally give
s rise to additional vector-like exotic fermions. These “Mirror Fermions
” cancel the contribution of the right-handed top quark to the Higgs pot
ential at leading order. We show how this alleviates the problem of light
top partners and reduces fine-tuning. As the cancellation is not unique to
one fermion embedding we additionally offer a model-building recipe on ho
w to incorporate such a cancellation in different scenarios.\n\nhttp://ind
