DISCRETE 2016: Fifth Symposium on Prospects in the Physics of Discrete Symmetries

This is the Fifth Symposium on Prospects in the Physics of Discrete Symmetries, DISCRETE 2016, the latest of the DISCRETE conference series (for information on previous conferences see: DISCRETE 2014 (London), DISCRETE 2012 (Lisbon), DISCRETE 2010 (Rome), DISCRETE 2008 (Valencia)), which this year will take place at the University of Warsaw, OCHOTA campus, Warsaw, from Monday, November 28 2016 until Saturday, December 3 2016.

The topics covered at the DISCRETE series of conferences are: T, C, P, CP symmetries; accidental symmetries (B, L conservation); CPT symmetry, decoherence and entangled states, Lorentz symmetry breaking (phenomenology and current bounds); neutrino mass and mixing; implications for cosmology and astroparticle physics, dark matter searches; experimental prospects at LHC, new facilities.

The Symposium will be organized in plenary sessions with invited talks (40+5min), and parallel sessions with invited research talks (30+5min) and selected contributions from the submitted abstracts (20+5min).

On Thursday, Dec. 1st,  in the afternoon there will be a special popular session with talks by prof. A. Trautman (UW) on gravitational waves, prof. S. Ferrara (CERN,INFN,UCLA) on supergravity and prof. L. Woronowicz (UW) on quantum groups.

The meeting is organized jointly by the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and the Division for Fundamental Interactions of the Polish Physical Society.
