Anomaly-free axion and heavy Higgs bosons in 3HDM

Presented by Dr. Kodai SAKURAI on 15 Sep 2023 from 13:45 to 14:00

Content

Axion is one of the prominent candidates of dark matter (DM). In particular, the axion in the keV scale is phenomenologically interesting. Because given that the axion has an interaction with electrons, it can be probed by electron recoil events in DM direct detection experiments. We construct a concrete renormalizable model that predicts axion DM in keV scale, three Higgs doublet model with B-L Higgs bosons. The predicted axion is anomaly-free, so that severe constraints from X-ray observation can be evaded. In this talk, we discuss the properties of the anomaly-free axion. We then show the properties of the axion correlate with those of heavy Higgs bosons.
