Gravitational-wave signals from phase transition and how to compute them

Presented by Dr. Bogumila SWIEZEWSKA on 15 Sep 2023 from 13:45 to 14:00

Content

In this talk, I will analyse a super-cooled phase transition in the early Universe responsible for the generation of elementary particles' masses. I will highlight the most important characteristics of the phase transition relevant for producing gravitational-wave (GW) signal and discuss the observability prospects of the resulting GW spectra. I will also focus on the sources of theoretical uncertainties of these predictions and present recent developments in diminishing them.
