Higgs-R2 inflation and cosmological collider physics

Presented by Yohei EMA on 16 Sep 2023 from 15:00 to 15:30

Content

Higgs-R2 inflation is a well-motivated model of inflation as it solves the unitarity issue of Higgs inflation, is consistent with the current CMB observation, and is within the scope of the near future B-mode observation. In this talk, I will first review these basic properties of Higgs-R2 inflation. I then show that the isocurvature mode, which is a mixture of the Higgs boson and the scalaron, can potentially leave an enhanced cosmological collider signature. Although this happens only in a rather limited parameter region, this serves as an explicit realization of the idea of quasi-single field inflation.
