Already in the early days of multi-Higgs models exploration, it was appreciated that global symmetries and their breaking play a key role in shaping the scalar sector and achieving desired phenomenological signatures. Many questions have been brought up and answered since then, but new and sometimes surprising symmetry-based results in multi-Higgs-doublet models keep appearing. In this talk, I wil ... More

New 2HDM symmetries were recently discovered, by proving that certain relations among the parameters of the scalar potential are preserved to all orders under renormalization for scalar and gauge interactions, and at least up to two-loops when considering Yukawa interactions. Models where such symmetries are imposed have interesting phenomenological aspects, which will be presented in this talk. I ... More

The Standard Model (SM) flavor puzzle is obscured by the possibility of different choices of basis and parametrization. However, it is clear that physical observables cannot depend on such arbitrary and unphysical choices. Hence, a new and un-obscured vision on the flavor puzzle is offered by formulating it in a basis invariant language. In order to achieve this for the SM quark sector, we use the ... More
